Sariska National Park Calling!

Someone has rightly said β€œTake only memories, leave only footprints”.

I really swear by this quote, as travelling makes me happy. It inspires and motivates me. Adventure is so much important for self-growth. It broadens your horizon when you step out of your comfort zone. Keeping the same in mind, we left Gurgaon early in the morning, around 3:30 AM and it took us 3hrs. approx. (including few pit-stops), to reach our destination πŸ™‚

The road just before Sariska National Park will amaze you with serene beauty. Now, Let’s Fantasize a little. As the early morning sun is about to welcome you, you see undulating plains spread over the steep ridges of Aravallis and beautiful blue-hued Peacocks roaming on the roads. I was awestruck by this viewΒ πŸ˜ŽΒ πŸ˜‰

As we wanted to make the most of 1 day break from our offices, the plan was to cover Sariska & Bhangarh together, of which, Bhangarh, I will cover in my next post. We reached Sariska National Park around 6:15 AM and witnessed a looong queue. To escape the summers of Rajasthan, everyone wanted to cover the National Park post dawn, just as was the case in Bharatpur. Though, there was another slot at 2:00 PM which is still good, if the weather permits. Based on my personal experience, it is advisable to book for the tour online, along with the mode of transportation of Jeep/Gypsy (preferable). As we had walked-in, had to stand in a queue for 15+ minutes and could manage only a Canter. Trust me, it does not help being in a 40-seater open truck while watching animals run away with kids screaming at the back. Β

Anyhoo, at the entrance, we saw various species of birds and got excited. But, hold your horses, you, in most probability, will not experience an amazing wildlife inside the park. The forest is dense and spread across a huge area. We saw lots of colourful birds like Rufous Treepie, Peacocks & Greater Spotted Eagle, but we couldn’t spot any tigers πŸ™ and had to be content with only their paw marks.

Overall, It was a unique experience and one of those experiences which are etched into your memory forever. I leave you with pictures to experience the same πŸ™‚ Till then keep smiling πŸ™‚
